The New Myth Initiative was born from the idea that cleaning the environment is not enough. Real change happens when people begin to see waste differently.
New Myth came to life after winning the Sustainability Challenge at the ISF 2024, hosted by The Olympus Consciousness Initiative (TOCI). That moment became more than a win. It was a confirmation that the world was ready for a different conversation about plastic waste.
We are a youth-led environmental initiative on a mission to change the narrative around plastic, from disposal to transformation, from problem to possibility.
Today, we work through community cleanups, practical workshops, and youth engagement programs that don’t just remove waste from the environment, but challenge the people in those communities to ask a different question: what can we make with this?
Our long-term vision is bold. To turn plastic waste collected from communities into functional, everyday products. Starting with phone cases. Because if people can hold something in their hands that was once litter on the ground, the narrative shifts permanently.
